There are so many choices that internet users often find certain sites to visit and then never look for an alternative. It is critical that the business owner draws in the customer’s attention and gets them to choose their site over someone else’s.

Offering customers a bonus or freebie is one of the best ways to get their attention and draw traffic to a website. People love websites that have something more to offer than a sales pitch. Here are some tips for the home based business owner to bring more traffic to their website:

- Offer a free Ebook. The Ebook should be related to the product or service being sold and be information that the customer wants to know.
- Start a contest or sweepstakes. Possibilities are endless as to contests and sweepstakes. With a contest the customer is usually required to do something in order to win. For example, the business owner could ask customers to submit new ideas for future products they would like to see on the site. Even better the customer could have to submit a short essay on how one of the products or services sold by the business made their life easier. The winning answers could then become part of the advertising campaign. Sweepstakes, on the other hand, often only require the customer to fill out a form.
- Write articles that customers can read for free. Articles inform customers while showing the business owner is knowledgeable in their field. They often act as proof that the business owner knows their business and make them creditable.

These are just a few examples of things to offer that can benefit both customers and business owners while also drawing traffic to the website.
