2 million dollars per year from type-in traffic?
"I don't like to work," says longtime domainer Rick Schwartz, almost yelling as if to convince everyone within earshot that they're fools if they do. "I figure any moron in the world can generate work for themselves and tie up their time. I have one laptop, no employees, and no product whatsoever -- none! This is magic." Magic, he claims, that's earning him $2 million a year.

WOW! 2 million bucks a year simply for buying domain names and pointing them to partner websites??? That's incredible.
I've tried my hand at a little domain prospecting myself, but have not yet pulled in any Rick Schwartz type income from the type-in traffic alone...
A few years ago I paid a lady in Yugoslavia several thousand dollars for my http://www.Home-Business.com domain. I make a lot of money from that site these days, but it's not type-in traffic that does it for me. I promote my Home-Business.com website using various Internet marketing strategies.
I also paid a large chunk of change recently for my http://www.WebsiteBuilder.com domain that I currently have re-directed to a website building product I'm affiliated with. I do earn some money from the type-in traffic for this domain but I'm still a long way away from recouping my total investment...
According to the news story on CNN Money, Rick Schwartz has over 5000 domains and paid $108,000 for his Candy.com domain name back in May 2002. He apparently has a strategy that works well for him and it just goes to show you that there are many different ways to make a living from the Internet.
